I hope your holidays were as “fun”derful as mine…As I look forward to wrapping up this special season with Epiphany, I anticipate experiencing numerous epiphanies in the year ahead as I strive to live fully.
I think my latest & greatest epiphany, is recognizing the eternity of the present moment. In other words, we are always in the “here & now”. I like to think in terms of being present as the catalyst for maximizing opportunities as they arise & hopefully that leads to experiencing No Opportunities Wasted(NOW).
We’ll find ourselves in more win-win scenarios if we engage in mindful living. This requires that we prioritize & determine What’s Important Now.(WIN) By owning each m”own”ment without lamenting about yesterday or allowing worries for tomorrow to rob us of the pleasures of this day we can create positive m”own”mentum or flow.
Realistically, I know life does include those “moan”ments; however, it’s up to us how we handle these scenarios. Often in my life these stumbling blocks have turned into stepping stones. I don’t know if it will work for you; however, whenever I find myself drifting away, losing touch with myself, jumping from the present to some far off point in the future/past, I remind myself “get back in your body”.
P.S. Just in case you want to know how Webster defines epiphany (noun) 1: capitalized : January 6 observed as a church festival in commemoration of the coming of the Magi as the first manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles or in the Eastern Church in commemoration of the baptism of Christ (2): an intuitive grasp of reality through something (such as an event) usually simple and striking 3: an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure
