Recently, I felt like I was unjustly “reprimanded.” Before I could respond in “self-defense”, the individual “turned the other cheek” & strutted away. The rest of the day, I found myself scripting what I would say the next time I “encountered” this individual.
In the meantime, I had dogs to walk. We did our usual walk with pit stops along the way. Fortunately, we are creatures of habit because the next morning as I reached in my pocket for a baggie, I noticed familiar looking items in amongst the leaves. WOW!!!…Since it was early morning, I hadn’t even missed these items. They must’ve fallen out of my unzipped pocket…Then it dawned on me that this was meant to be an epi-“funny”- in other words, the next time I saw the above mentioned individual, I realized that I wouldn’t lose anything if I’d just “zip it”- both my pockets & my mouth….I’d like to think that qualifies as “turning the other cheek.”…
…moving right along…
