We all face challenges. One of the toughest lessons I’ve learned is that It’s ok to ask for help. I was reminded of this recently when visiting with my 95 year old Mother.
I knew my Dad’s Father had health issues that eventually made it impossible for him to continue to work. What I didn’t realize was that he was a road grader for the county- a very physical job as he had to control the big work horses that pulled the grader. The loss of income led to my grandparents loosing their farm. Sadly, my great uncle said he would’ve bought the farm & rented it back to my grandparents if only they had shared their challenges. If only their Irish pride hadn’t gotten in the way.
If only…two powerful little words that I hope we don’t allow to stimi us vs stimulate us…
